PLEASE READ BEFORE REGISTERING
1) All items are donated. Sponsors are not responsible for the quality, condition, availability, description, etc. of the prizes. EAF and Alaska Air Group and its affiliates, expressly disclaim any and all warranties concerning auction items, and bidders agree to release EAF and Alaska Air Group and its affiliates from all claims or liability arising from their ownership or use. Buyer may need to contact donor directly to arrange shipping or make reservations. Donated items arriving after the beginning of the bidding period will be added to their respective categories. Be sure to read the News Box for updates. If you have an item you would like to donate to the auction, it's not too late! Contact us at EAFAuction@alaskaair.com. Donated items are tax deductible.
2) Auction sponsors are volunteers, we are not professional auctioneers! Sponsor decisions regarding final bid awards, winners and functions of the auction are at the discretion of the sponsors. We will try to resolve problems quickly and fairly, but our decisions are final because We Are The Mom, and We Said So! We reserve the right to disqualify any bidder not participating in the spirit in which the auction is intended. Disputes will be settled using the information on the data base and the server clock. 3) By registering and bidding, you agree to pay the bid amount. That is not a foreign concept!! Once a bid is posted, it cannot be removed, so don't bid stupid. You also agree to claim your item within the distribution period. We will begin awarding unclaimed items to the second-highest bidders two weeks after closing. Items can be picked up and payment made at the EAF offices in the Alaska Airlines Credit Union 19530 International Blvd., #108, SeaTac, WA 98188. A schedule will be posted at the closing of the auction. You may use the PayPal option for items over $100. If you can pay some other way, please do so, PayPal charges us for each transaction. Checks may be sent via comail, postal service, or other means. No prizes will be distributed until payment is received - no matter how nicely you ask. If you have questions about payments, contact auction sponsors at EAFAuction@alaskaair.com 4) The physical location of the item and/or the service provider is noted on the auction page. If you cannot pick up the item yourself, we can arrange for it to be shipped or co-mailed to you - unless it is marked CANNOT BE SHIPPED. All shipping and insurance costs are the responsibility of the buyer, and must be prepaid before shipping. Transportation to the location of a hotel, attraction or service provider is the responsibility of the buyer. 5) Bidding will begin at noon on the date indicated on the main page and will continue 24 hours a day ending two weeks later. Items close at different times, so be sure to check the closing time on the items you are bidding on. At the designated hour, any item which has not received a bid in the previous 5 minutes will automatically close and no further bids will be accepted. There is an Auto-Extend feature whereby items will remain open as long as there is active bidding on that item. When 5 minutes have passed with no new bids, the item will close. Times are determined by the Server Clock only (it's on the screen, be sure to hit Refresh once in a while.) The auction site will remain available for the month of November so you can check to see which items you won, and who will be sending us postcards from Cancun! We will send an email notification of your winnings and your total bill. You can also come back to the auction site, click on My Bids and see your total as well. 6) Sponsors are not responsible for ISP problems which may temporarily interrupt bidding. In the event of a serious outage, sponsors may elect to extend the auction at their discretion and will notify bidders by email of their intent to do so. To report problems with the system, email us at eafauction@alaskaair.com The site is best viewed using Internet Explorer or Firefox. AOL may not show up-to-the-minute bid amounts. 7) Bidders on any liquor products must be 21 years of age. Identification will be required to claim your item. 8) Some items have a reserve bid amount. If the reserve is not met, the item will not be sold. 9) TO REGISTER: Fill in the Bidder Registration form completely. The computer will send an authorization code back to the email address you listed - so be sure you got it right. Click on the authorization link to complete the registration. Once you are registered, you can turn on the thumbnails for easy viewing of all items. All previous bidder registrations from past auctions have been erased. You must re-register to bid in the current year’s auction.
